2027 INFINITI QX80 Goes on Sale at $85,590 With SPORT Grade Upgrades and Suspension Refinements Across the Line

INFINITI‘s flagship SUV is back on sale for 2027 with a modest but targeted refresh: suspension tuning on every grade, a charging standard upgrade throughout the lineup, and meaningful new optionality on the SPORT grade that should help it move even faster off dealer lots. The 2027 QX80 starts at $85,590, up $1,840 from the 2026 PURE’s $83,750 entry point, before the $2,275 destination charge.

The powertrain is unchanged. Every QX80, across all four grades, runs the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine rated at 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a standard tow rating of 8,500 pounds when properly equipped. INFINITI engineers instead spent their time on ride quality, retuning the suspension on all grades to improve compliance. On a vehicle competing against the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, where NVH is a genuine battleground, even incremental gains in ride character matter at this price point. The standard wireless charger has also been upgraded to the Qi2 standard, adding positioning magnets and a cooling fan for faster and more consistent device charging across the full lineup.

Grade by Grade

The PURE starts at $85,590 in rear-wheel drive and $88,590 with INFINITI All-Mode 4WD. Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, dual 14.3-inch screens with Google built-in, a 14-speaker Klipsch premium audio system, flush door handles, TailorFit seating, seven USB-C ports, heated first- and second-row seats, and a 3D Around View Monitor. ProPILOT Assist 2 is standard; the hands-off ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is not available on PURE.

The LUXE steps up to $92,170 in RWD and $95,170 with 4WD, adding Electronic Air Suspension with Dynamic Digital Suspension, a color head-up display, climate-controlled first- and second-row seats, 22-inch wheels, a Remote Control rear seat, and an eighth USB-C port. ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is available on LUXE via a $3,300 package.

At $102,590, the SPORT comes exclusively with 4WD and brings a distinct character to the lineup: sport-design 22-inch wheels, dark chrome exterior trim, semi-aniline leather for the first two rows, Biometric Cooling (which directs conditioned air toward second-row passengers automatically), a 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, INFINITI Light Path exterior illumination, massaging front seats, and 64-color ambient lighting. For 2027, the SPORT’s default cabin color is Graphite with matte chrome accents; the previous Dusk Blue scheme with dark matte chrome remains a selectable option.

Two additions make the SPORT grade meaningfully more flexible this year. ProPILOT Assist 2.1, the hands-off highway driving system that operates when lane markings are detected and the driver remains attentive, is now available as a $3,200 option on SPORT. Previously, buyers who wanted both the SPORT’s athletic aesthetic and hands-off driver assistance had no path forward; now they do. SPORT buyers can also add a Split-Bench Seat package, replacing the standard captain’s chairs with a 40/20/40 three-seat bench and bringing maximum seating capacity to eight. For a grade with strong early demand, adding seating flexibility is a logical expansion.

The AUTOGRAPH tops the lineup at $112,990 with 4WD standard, ProPILOT Assist 2.1 included, second-row massaging seats, semi-aniline leather across all three rows, open-pore ash wood-toned trim with metal inlays, a front console cool box, and third-row heated seats.

Sales Momentum Behind the Update

INFINITI is refreshing the QX80 from a position of strength. The QX80 delivered 13,590 units in 2025, its best retail year on record, up 31.4% year-over-year and nearly double the Lexus LX’s 7,464 sales. That growth continued into 2026: the QX80 posted its best-ever Q2 retail result with more than 3,300 units in Q2 2026 alone. The SPORT grade was identified as the fastest-moving trim in the current generation, which explains why INFINITI’s 2027 changes concentrate there.

INFINITI has not announced whether ProPILOT Assist 2.1 will require an ongoing subscription after the included trial period expires, though the footnotes indicate a monthly fee applies once the trial ends.

The QX80 arrives at a moment when INFINITI’s broader portfolio is consolidating around fewer, stronger nameplates rather than volume through breadth. The QX80 is carrying more of the brand’s retail weight than it has at any point in recent memory. A suspension tune and a charging standard upgrade are not the stuff of dramatic press events, but they sustain the QX80’s case in a segment where buyers notice refinement at prices north of $85,000. Adding bench seating and hands-free driving to the SPORT grade closes two gaps that buyers were clearly flagging. The flagship has enough momentum that the job for 2027 was mostly to get out of its own way.
