The infotainment system is designed for ease of use, offering intuitive control via touchscreen or the standard Google Assistant. Whether you’re replying to texts, getting directions, or queuing up your favorite playlist on Spotify, the Terrain’s system has you covered. And for 2025, GMC has added up to eight camera views, including an optional rear camera mirror—a first for the Terrain.
Other tech highlights include:
- 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability
- HD Surround Vision camera
- Rainsense wipers and heated wiper park
- AutoSense power liftgate that opens when the key fob is nearby
Design That Demands Attention
The 2025 Terrain takes a step up in the design department with a more athletic stance and a grille that borrows cues from GMC’s truck lineup. This design evolution gives the Terrain a rugged, truck-inspired look that’s sure to turn heads. Adding to the customization options, GMC is offering a Terrain-first two-tone roof in either black or gray, bringing a new level of personalization to the table.
Inside, the Terrain continues to impress with a cabin emphasizing space and luxury. Chrome accents sweep across the dashboard, door panels, and console, while available wireless chargers are strategically placed near the armrest for convenience.
The Elevation trim, which serves as the entry point to the Terrain lineup, comes standard with stylish 17-inch wheels.
Looking Ahead: AT4 and Denali
GMC isn’t stopping with the Elevation trim. In 2025, the Terrain will expand its lineup with the 2026 AT4 and Denali models, each offering unique features.
- AT4: This is the most capable Terrain AT4 yet, featuring a selectable Terrain Mode exclusive to the trim, a lifted ride height, underbody protection, animated headlamps and taillamps, red front recovery hooks, 17-inch all-terrain tires, AWD, and Hill Descent Control.
- Denali: If you’re after luxury, the Denali trim delivers with heated seats for all passengers, animated lighting, 19-inch wheels (with 20-inch wheels available), unique Smart Frequency Dampers for a smoother ride, AWD, and Hill Descent Control.
Power and Performance
Every 2025 Terrain comes equipped with a 1.5L Turbocharged engine that delivers 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, along with a max towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds. All-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission are standard right out of the gate on the Elevation trim.
