Honda‘s enclosed-cab side-by-side is nearly ready to ship. American Honda today confirmed pricing and production timing for the 2026 Pioneer 1000 Elite, the brand’s first factory-HVAC-equipped side-by-side: $25,499 base, $1,395 destination, $26,894 out the door. Production starts in December at Honda’s Timmonsville, South Carolina plant, with limited quantities expected at dealers before the year closes.
The Pioneer 1000 Elite’s headline feature is a fully enclosed, factory-installed cab with a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system, making it one of the few UTVs in this segment to offer genuine climate control as standard equipment rather than an aftermarket add-on. For operators who use their machines year-round, whether that’s hunting season in January or dusty summer fieldwork, that distinction matters. The 999cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin that powers the broader Pioneer lineup carries over as the drivetrain foundation, and the Elite adds the enclosed cab on top of Honda’s established rec-utility platform.
Honda also swapped one of the two announced color options today. Matte Crimson Red Metallic is out; Matte Cactus Green is in, joining Matte Gray Metallic as the two available finishes at launch. No mechanical changes came with the color adjustment.
At $26,894 all-in, the Elite commands a significant premium over the standard Pioneer 1000 Deluxe, which starts at $20,999 plus a $1,295 destination charge. That gap reflects the enclosed cab and HVAC system, which add both manufacturing complexity and genuine utility for buyers who work or ride in variable weather. Honda has not announced whether additional Elite variants or seating configurations will follow; the base Pioneer 1000 family spans seven configurations, including a six-passenger Crew version, but the Elite launches as a single configuration for now.
All Honda side-by-sides are built in the United States, with Timmonsville handling the Pioneer 1000 and a second facility in Swepsonville, North Carolina supporting the broader ATV and side-by-side range. The company has built powersports products domestically for 45 years.
Inventory will be thin at launch. Buyers expecting to find the Elite on dealer floors before the holidays should contact their local Honda Powersports dealer early.
