2027 Nissan Rogue Priced From $29,690 With CVT Retuning and Eight Configurations

Nissan‘s most important vehicle just got a targeted update for 2027. On September 21, the automaker detailed the full 2027 Nissan Rogue lineup, pricing eight configurations from $29,690 to $39,790 and introducing revised CVT tuning as the substantive mechanical change. That pricing is a $200 step up from the 2026 Rogue’s $29,490 base, a modest increase by compact SUV standards.

The engine itself carries over unchanged: a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder making 201 hp at 5,600 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque from 2,800 to 4,000 rpm. Nissan engineers focused their 2027 effort on the Xtronic CVT instead, reworking the calibration for a smoother and more linear acceleration profile with crisper throttle response. It’s a targeted fix rather than a ground-up revision, but CVT tuning is exactly the kind of thing owners notice on daily drives. Fuel economy holds steady at 28 mpg city, 33 highway, and 30 combined on front-wheel-drive models; AWD versions rate 27/32/29 mpg.

The Rogue earned the top spot among compact SUVs in the J.D. Power 2026 Initial Quality Study, its first segment win, and Nissan is leaning into that credential as a value anchor against the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. The durability claim is concrete: Nissan says nine out of 10 Rogues sold over the past decade remain on the road. With 2025 sales of 217,898 units following 245,723 in 2024, the nameplate is still the backbone of Nissan’s US volume even after that year-over-year decline.

Eight Configurations, Two Drivetrain Options

The lineup runs deeper than a simple base-to-premium ladder. Nissan prices the 2027 Rogue as follows: S FWD at $29,690; SV FWD at $30,690; Dark Armor FWD at $33,540; S AWD at $31,090; SV AWD at $32,090; Rock Creek AWD at $34,590; Dark Armor AWD at $34,940; and Platinum AWD at $39,790. Destination and handling adds $1,575 to each. Front-wheel drive is available on S and SV grades; everything else is AWD-only.

Rock Creek and Dark Armor are the two grades that do genuine differentiation work. Rock Creek, which now has a sibling in the 2027 Rogue Hybrid e-POWER lineup, arrives with Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires on dark-painted 17-inch wheels, Hill Descent Control, a unique front fascia, a tubular roof rack with integrated cross bars, and Lava Red accents throughout. It adds a 12-volt cargo outlet, an HD Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-Road View, and heated front seats over the SV. The suspension gets off-road tuning. It’s a credible light-adventure package without the price premium of a true off-road truck.

Dark Armor works the opposite angle: gloss black exterior accents on the mirrors, badges, pillar trim, and grille bars, plus 19-inch gloss black wheels with 235/55R19 all-season tires and satin black roof rails. The package is available in both FWD ($33,540) and AWD ($34,940) configurations, which gives buyers who want the aesthetic without AWD costs a place to land. There are no mechanical changes under Dark Armor’s styling additions.

Technology and Interior

Screen size splits cleanly along trim lines. The S through Rock Creek grades use an 8-inch NissanConnect display with wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto; the Platinum steps up to a 12.3-inch display with Google built-in, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Play Store, plus wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. The Platinum also adds a 12.3-inch full TFT digital instrument cluster, replacing the analog gauges found on every other grade, and an available head-up display through the Platinum Premium Package.

Audio also tiered by grade: S carries four speakers; SV through Rock Creek get six; Platinum adds a Bose Premium Audio system with 10 speakers including a dual-driver subwoofer. Connectivity across the board includes USB-C ports, with two illuminated front ports on the S and two additional rear charge-only ports from SV upward. The SV, Rock Creek, Dark Armor, and Platinum grades add a Wi-Fi hotspot and NissanConnect Services. Wireless charging is available on Rock Creek via the optional Rock Creek Premium Package and standard on Platinum.

Safety equipment follows a similar step structure. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intersection Assist, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are standard across all grades. ProPILOT Assist with full-speed-range adaptive cruise is standard from SV upward. Rear Automatic Braking arrives on Dark Armor, Rock Creek, and Platinum. The Platinum adds Traffic Sign Recognition and a front central side-impact airbag.

Inside, the Rogue’s practical touches read like a family checklist: rear doors that open to nearly 90 degrees for car-seat loading, a cargo area shaped to hold milk jugs upright, and standard Rear Door Alert. The Platinum’s Divide-N-Hide cargo system is the one meaningful differentiation in the cargo area, adding a second floor level that bumps usable volume to 36.5 cubic feet with the rear seat up. Cargo volume with seats folded is 74.1 cubic feet across all grades.

Where the Standard Rogue Fits Now

The 2027 Rogue arrives alongside, not instead of, the all-new 2027 Rogue Hybrid e-POWER, Nissan’s first series hybrid in the US compact SUV segment. The standard Rogue’s role in that context is straightforward: it’s the lower entry point, carrying a proven powertrain and a price that starts below $30,000. Buyers who want the e-POWER’s electric-motor drive character and fuel economy gains will pay more; buyers who want the Rogue’s familiar VC-Turbo performance and the full range of body and trim choices, including the FWD configurations that the Hybrid doesn’t offer, get the standard model.

The CVT retuning and a $200 price increase are modest moves, but the Rogue doesn’t need a ground-up overhaul to stay competitive. Its J.D. Power quality win and the breadth of the lineup, eight configurations spanning $10,100 from base to Platinum, give Nissan’s sales team real arguments to make across a wide range of buyers.
