With the 2026 IMSA GTP Manufacturer, Team, and Driver titles already secured, Cadillac Racing is not waiting for the season to end to announce who defends them. Today the program confirmed its complete 2027 driver rosters for both IMSA and WEC, with one significant addition and two notable departures.
The IMSA side carries the most continuity. Defending GTP Driver champion Jack Aitken returns to the No. 31 Cadillac Whelen entry, now paired full-season with Frederik Vesti. Earl Bamber moves to an endurance-race role for that car, covering the Michelin Endurance Cup rounds including the Rolex 24 At Daytona. A fourth Daytona driver for the No. 31 will be named later. The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing entry keeps Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque as its season pairing, with Will Stevens handling endurance duties. The No. 40 WTR car pairs Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz for the full schedule, with Norman Nato as the endurance specialist.
The WEC program, now in its third year with the V-Series.R in the Hypercar class under the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA banner, restructures around a six-driver pool shared across the No. 12 and No. 38 entries: Aitken, Bamber, Nato, Stevens, Taylor, and newcomer Antonio Felix da Costa. The Portuguese driver returns to JOTA after a previous stint with the team, bringing an FIA WEC title and a Le Mans class victory to a program that spent 2026 chasing points rather than podiums in the world championship.
Da Costa is the headline addition. His WEC title and Le Mans class win give Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA a driver with a proven record at the events that matter most in the Hypercar class. Ricky Taylor also joins the WEC pool after filling in for Alex Lynn at Circuit of the Americas earlier this year during Lynn’s recovery from surgery. Taylor’s IMSA resume stands at 32 victories and 76 podium finishes, numbers that speak to why Cadillac wanted him in both programs rather than just one.
The departures are Sébastien Bourdais and Alex Lynn. Both have been central figures in the Cadillac endurance program for several years, and their exits close out a chapter rather than represent a sudden roster cut. Cadillac did not announce what either driver plans to do next.
The roster announcement comes with the One Team strategy that Cadillac launched in 2025 still clearly intact. Sharing drivers across Action Express, Wayne Taylor Racing, and JOTA means Aitken, Bamber, Nato, Stevens, and Ricky Taylor all appear in both series, giving the engineering staff a smaller pool of known quantities to set up three different cars across nine IMSA rounds and the full WEC calendar. Cadillac has confirmed there are no clashing weekends between the two series’ schedules for 2027.
One detail Cadillac has not shared: the specific car assignments for da Costa and Taylor within the No. 12 and No. 38 entries at individual WEC rounds. With six drivers across two cars and a variable endurance format, those splits will likely come closer to each race.
Bourdais and Lynn’s exits aside, this is the most stable Cadillac Racing lineup in recent memory. The same drivers, the same organization, the same car. Defending three IMSA titles at once is a problem most programs would take.
