Ford Enhances 2025 Transit Lineup with New Trade Packages and Options

2025 Ford E-Transit Cargo Van. (Ford Pro).

For 2025, the Ford Transit™ and E-Transit™—America’s top-selling gas and electric van lineup—are getting a range of new features designed to cater to diverse business needs. The updates include factory-installed trade packages, improved interior options, and flexible starting prices, providing customers the choice between gas and electric powertrains.

New Factory-Installed Trade Packages –

One of the key updates for 2025 is the addition of four factory-installed trade packages. These packages, designed in collaboration with Ranger Design™, are tailored to the unique needs of specific trades, helping to cut down the time between ordering and delivery. By offering these packages directly from the factory, Ford simplifies the process for businesses, allowing them to finance the upfit alongside the vehicle itself—eliminating the need for separate financing arrangements.

Each package comes with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty, and service is available at over 2,800 Ford dealerships across the country, providing peace of mind for business owners. The available trade packages include specialized storage solutions, like shelves, drawers, and work surfaces, designed to meet the needs of different professions:

  • Electrician Trade Package: Designed with drawers and bins to store small parts, plus reels for hanging wire bundles. The package is priced starting at $4,370.
  • HVAC Trade Package: Includes large shelves, bins, and racks specifically for refrigerant storage, starting at $4,440.
  • General Contractor Package: Offers versatile shelves, bins, drawers, and hooks to accommodate a variety of tools and materials, starting at $2,900.
  • Foldable Shelving Package: Features deep, large-capacity folding shelves, ideal for delivery services, starting at $3,300.

Enhanced Interior Options –

The 2025 Transit lineup also offers new interior accessory kits, further customizing the vans to fit a business’s daily operations. These include:

  • Wall Liner Kit: Covers the ceiling, walls, and doors, and includes lighting and wheel well covers to ease upfit installation. This is available for regular or long-length Transit models.
  • Large Grab Handles Kit: Designed for easier entry and exit, these handles are available for both regular and long-length Transit variants.

Key Changes to Transit Cargo Van –

Ford has made a few adjustments to the 2025 Transit cargo van lineup to enhance usability:

  • Mobile Power Cord: Now offered as an option with an included fast charger adapter, providing more flexibility for customers who need on-the-go charging.
  • Smart Acceleration Truncation: Available as a standalone feature for fleet managers, this option limits acceleration based on the vehicle’s payload, ensuring smoother starts regardless of driver skill or cargo weight.
  • 50/50 Hinged Rear Door: All low- and medium-roof cargo vans, as well as passenger vans, now come standard with a 180-degree door opening, while high-roof variants get a 253-degree door as standard. The wider door is also available as an option for low- and medium-roof models.

A Case for Choosing Electric –

With the E-Transit, Ford continues to emphasize the benefits of going electric for businesses. Compared to traditional gas and diesel-powered vans, the E-Transit offers up to 48% lower scheduled maintenance costs, contributing to significant long-term savings. Additionally, businesses can take advantage of various local, state, and federal incentives, making the transition to electric more affordable.

A new Commercial Charging Cash Incentive of $2,000 is now available for eligible customers who purchase or lease an E-Transit, offering rebates toward charging infrastructure and Ford Pro’s charging solutions. Access to Ford Pro’s software also helps businesses optimize fleet productivity and manage their charging needs more efficiently.

Ford offers competitive starting prices for the 2025 Transit lineup, providing options that suit different needs:

  • 2025 E-Transit and comparable Transit cargo van models: Starting at $51,000.
  • 2025 E-Transit Chassis Cab: Starts at $46,200.
  • 2025 E-Transit Cutaway: Starts at $45,700.

With these updates, the 2025 Ford Transit lineup is set to offer even more versatility and convenience for businesses. Whether opting for gas or electric, Ford aims to provide a solution that fits the diverse needs of professionals across industries.
