Ford is making it easier and more affordable for customers to experience hands-free highway driving with its BlueCruise technology. Starting October 1, 2024, the company is reducing the pricing for its BlueCruise service and offering more flexibility for vehicle owners in the U.S. who have BlueCruise-equipped vehicles.
Lower Prices and Flexible Options –
Ford’s new pricing structure significantly drops BlueCruise’s annual and monthly subscription costs. The annual plan will now cost $495, down from previous rates, while the monthly plan is $49.99. Customers’ next payments will reflect this price reduction, allowing Ford owners to enjoy hands-free highway driving at a lower cost.
Additionally, Ford is simplifying how customers can access BlueCruise, offering a one-year plan and a one-time purchase option for those who prefer to activate the feature permanently. For 2025 model-year vehicles, the one-year plan will be either included as standard or offered as an option at a vehicle order for $495, depending on the specific model and trim. Customers can also upgrade to a one-time purchase of BlueCruise at a vehicle order for $2,495, ensuring that they won’t need to activate the service again.
90-Day Complimentary Trial and Flexible Activation –
For customers who don’t select the one-year plan or the one-time purchase, Ford is continuing its 90-day complimentary trial. After the trial, owners can choose to activate BlueCruise annually or monthly based on their driving needs. This option gives flexibility for those who may want BlueCruise only for specific occasions, such as road trips or holiday travel. For example, a customer could activate the service for one month and then decide not to use it again until a year later.
“Our goal is to make BlueCruise more accessible to more customers, with pricing and options that fit different lifestyles and driving habits,” said a Ford representative.
Expanding Availability for 2025 Models –
BlueCruise availability will expand across Ford’s 2025 model year vehicles and trims, including electric, hybrid, and gas-powered models. It is available on various Ford vehicles, including the Ford Explorer, Expedition, F-150, F-150 Lightning, and Mustang Mach-E. As Ford continues to roll out this advanced technology, more drivers will have the opportunity to experience hands-free driving on highways across the U.S.
By making the pricing more flexible and simplifying access to BlueCruise, Ford is catering to a wider audience of drivers looking for convenience, safety, and cutting-edge technology on their daily commutes and long road trips.
