Ford has extended its Carhartt partnership to the F-150, and the price tag matches what the 2027 Super Duty Carhartt Edition cost when it debuted earlier this year: $4,195. That package, added to a properly spec’d XLT SuperCrew, brings the as-configured starting price to $62,660 before destination. For that money, buyers get a truck built around Carhartt’s iconic duck canvas brown, with design choices that trace the color from the fender badges through to the floor mats.
The F-150 Carhartt has to do something the Super Duty version didn’t: appeal to a buyer who isn’t exclusively a jobsite customer. Ford’s own framing on this is honest about the distinction. F-150 customers use their trucks for work, but they also show up to weekend baseball games, neighbor moves, and family camping trips in Northern Michigan. The Carhartt brand has always operated in both registers, workwear that earns credibility on the job and gets worn off the clock by choice. The F-150 Carhartt leans into that second life more deliberately than the Super Duty version did.
Design Details
The exterior treatment echoes the Super Duty’s graphic approach, which is intentional. Ford’s Color and Materials Design Specialist Bhavna Mistry, who worked on both trucks, describes the shared visual language as a family relationship, a single design philosophy applied to two different customers. The two-tone exterior breakup mimics the construction lines of a Carhartt jacket or bib, with a yoke, a seam, and a contrast panel reinforced with Carhartt’s signature triple stitch treatment carried into the design language. A textured fender badge ties outside to inside.
Inside, the seats use a grey and brown split that carries its own reasoning. Grey signals the shared durability story with Super Duty; brown carries the warmth of duck canvas workwear. The floor mat texture is borrowed from the bottom of a Carhartt tool bag, a detail that will go largely unnoticed by anyone who doesn’t already own one. That’s the point. The restraint throughout the interior is more disciplined than most special editions manage: nothing competes with the seats, and nothing looks added for its own sake.
Package Requirements and Pricing
The Carhartt package isn’t a standalone option. It requires the 4×4 drivetrain, a four-door SuperCrew body, the 302A XLT Mid Package, a 145-inch wheelbase, and the 5.5-foot bed. That’s a specific configuration, not a menu item. Buyers who want the Carhartt Edition are buying a particular truck, not just a visual upgrade. Starting price of $62,660 reflects all those requirements baked in before destination charges.
Ford has not announced pricing beyond the XLT configuration, so whether the Carhartt package will be available on higher trim levels remains open.
Context on what that $62,660 buys: the 2024 F-150 started at $39,060, and the F-150 has held the title of America’s best-selling truck for 49 consecutive years. The Carhartt Edition sits well above entry, aimed at buyers who are already spending in the mid-tier XLT range and want something more specific than the standard spec.
Ford and Carhartt have been connected longer than most co-branded truck packages suggest. Carhartt supplied gear to Ford factory workers dating back to the early 1920s, which gives this collaboration a lineage that most special editions can’t claim. Whether that history matters to the buyer cross-shopping a Silverado LTZ or a Ram 1500 Laramie is a different question, but Ford will put it on the window sticker regardless.
The F-150 Carhartt Edition doesn’t break new mechanical ground, and it wasn’t designed to. It’s a materials and trim story built on a brand pairing that has enough genuine overlap to avoid feeling manufactured. If Carhartt already lives in your closet, the truck is probably already sold.
