Toyota‘s Crown Signia crossover arrives for 2027 with a meaningful upgrade for buyers willing to stretch to the top trim. The Limited grade now includes what was previously an optional Advanced Technology Package as standard equipment, folding in a Panoramic View Monitor, Lane Change Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, and outer mirrors with puddle lights and a reverse tilt-down feature. There is also a new exterior color, Inked, replacing the previous black option across both grades. The powertrain, pricing structure, and the rest of the spec sheet carry forward unchanged.
The XLE starts at $44,890 and the Limited at $51,155, both before the delivery, processing, and handling fee. Toyota expects 2027 Crown Signia deliveries to begin at dealerships later this year.
The Crown Signia sits between the RAV4 and Highlander in Toyota’s SUV hierarchy, and those sales numbers suggest it has found its audience quickly. The nameplate moved 10,263 units in 2024, its first full year on sale, then nearly doubled that to 20,550 in 2025, well ahead of the 2027 Toyota Crown sedan, which sold 12,309 units in 2025 despite receiving Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system and a 340-hp Hybrid MAX variant in its own refresh. The Signia’s crossover body is clearly the more commercially viable half of the Crown family.
Every Crown Signia runs the same powertrain regardless of grade. A 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder paired with a hybrid transaxle and a bi-polar Nickel Metal Hydride battery produces 238 hp combined, with a manufacturer-estimated 38 MPG combined. Electronic On-Demand AWD is standard, using a rear-mounted electric motor in place of a traditional transfer case to distribute drive force between the front and rear axles across a 100:0 to 20:80 range. The system sends power rearward when cornering or traction conditions demand it and otherwise keeps the rear motor out of the equation to preserve efficiency.

The XLE grade rides on 19-inch multi-spoke machine-finished two-tone alloy wheels and gets LED projector headlights with Automatic High Beams, a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen with six speakers, and heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front seats. The driver’s seat is 8-way power adjustable with memory and lumbar support; the front passenger seat matches it at 8-way power. Rear outboard seats are heated. Five USB-C charge ports and Qi wireless charging are standard. Low-profile roof rails and heated, power-folding outside mirrors with blind spot warning indicators round out the XLE’s exterior spec.
The Limited swaps the 19-inch wheels for dark gray metallic 21-inch 7-spoke alloys and adds a fixed glass panoramic roof, a digital rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, and headlights with auto-level control and auto on/off. The JBL Premium audio system, with 11 speakers including a subwoofer and amplifier, replaces the XLE’s six-speaker setup. Digital Key capability is included, requiring an active Remote Connect trial or subscription. And with the Advanced Technology Package now folded into the base Limited price, the $51,155 entry point delivers the Panoramic View Monitor, Lane Change Assist, and parking assist hardware that previously required checking an option box.

Both grades accommodate a wide exterior palette. Inked, Bronze Age, Finish Line Red, Oxygen White, and Storm Cloud are available across XLE and Limited. The Limited grade also offers four of those five colors paired with a black roof for buyers who want the two-tone look. Interior choices are Black or Saddle Tan leather trim on both grades.
The cabin’s practical centerpiece is a 60/40 second-row fold-flat seat design that opens up a 6.5-foot-long cargo area with over 68 cubic feet of storage space when folded. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across both grades, covering Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with 5-year trials for Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Remote Connect, plus a 30-day or 3GB trial for Wi-Fi Connect.
Toyota backs the Crown Signia with a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty, 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain coverage, 8-year/100,000-mile coverage for hybrid-related components, and 10-year/150,000-mile coverage for the high-voltage battery. ToyotaCare adds one year or 10,000 miles of factory-scheduled maintenance and two years of roadside assistance.
The 2027 Crown Signia is a careful refresh of a formula that is working. The Limited grade buyers who wanted the Advanced Technology Package were already paying for it anyway. Making it standard removes a decision without raising the price. That is the kind of product update that does not generate headlines but does make the configurator less annoying.
