Jeep isn’t rewriting the Wrangler formula for 2027. It’s adding equipment to trims that buyers already want and six new colors to keep the order sheets interesting.
The most broadly felt change hits the bottom of the lineup. Sport, Sport S, and Willys models now get a standard 7-inch TFT color instrument cluster. Sport S and Willys also add passive entry as standard. The two-door Willys picks up a vented power dome hood, matching what the four-door Willys already carries. These aren’t headline-grabbing changes, but for buyers who cross-shop on standard content, they tighten the Wrangler’s value case at the entry level.
Sahara sees the bigger equipment jump. Jeep is standardizing McKinley trimmed seats, side steps, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, embedded navigation, rear park assist, blind spot and cross path detection, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, auto high-beam headlights, a universal garage door opener, and the front off-road TrailCam on the four-door-only trim. For buyers who would have optioned most of those items anyway, the bundling is worth paying attention to when final pricing lands.

Rubicon models add heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and embedded navigation as standard. The Rubicon X carries those features as well by virtue of sitting above the base Rubicon in the lineup.
The three powertrains carry over unchanged: the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder at 270 hp and 295 lb-ft paired with an eight-speed automatic; the 3.6-liter V-6 at 285 hp and 260 lb-ft available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic; and the 6.4-liter V-8 at 470 hp and 470 lb-ft behind an eight-speed automatic in the 392 trims. The Wrangler’s capability claims remain intact: best-in-class 5,000-pound tow rating when properly equipped, crawl ratios up to 100:1, a 32.4-degree breakover angle, and up to 34 inches of water fording.

Five Twelve 4 Twelve special editions carry into 2027: the Switchback, JL-2A, Moab 392, Willys 392, Whitecap, Rewind, and Rockslide. The series has been a reliable cadence of limited-run special editions through the 2027 model year, with entries like the Laredo and the Smoky Mountain arriving earlier in the cycle.
Six new exterior colors join the palette, all with late availability. Gobi, Sting Gray, and Hella Yella are new additions. Ghost and the limited-edition Gum 31 are first-ever colors for the Wrangler. Limited-edition Fathom Blue rounds out the group. The 2027 Wrangler is available to order now from Toledo Assembly Complex.
Jeep has not announced 2027 MSRP changes, though the 2026 model starts at $36,890 including destination. Through September 2026, Wrangler sales ran 131,011 units, up 2 percent year over year, with Q3 2026 volume of 44,757 units outpacing the Ford Bronco’s 38,020 by a comfortable margin. The equipment additions at Sahara and Rubicon give dealers something concrete to sell while Jeep holds its segment lead.
