Acura has not won at Road America since 2022. In a few weeks, the program that could fix that record will no longer exist.
The hybrid-powered ARX-06 has been competitive at America’s National Park of Speed without converting that pace into a victory. In both 2024 and 2025, Acura cars qualified on pole and finished third in the two-hour-and-40-minute format. This year the event has been extended to six hours, which changes the calculus on fuel strategy, tire wear, and pit sequencing in ways that could favor or punish either camp.
Acura Meyer Shank Racing enters two cars for Sunday’s SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix. The #60 pairs Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, the same duo that crossed the line second at Road America in 2023. The #93 carries Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly, who claimed pole and third place at this track last year and then won the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in April 2026. That Long Beach result was a meaningful one: Acura spent years of the GTP era building toward a win, and the #93 team delivered it.
The stakes at Road America are higher than they might appear in a regular mid-season race. Acura and Honda Racing Corporation USA will pause the IMSA GTP program with the ARX-06 after 2026, meaning the remaining races this season are the last chances to add to the ARX-06’s record at a circuit where the car has been consistently fast without breaking through. A Road America win before the program closes would let Acura leave this chapter on cleaner terms.
Acura’s history at Road America stretches back to 1993, when Parker Johnstone and Dan Marvin took the Camel Lights class win in a Comptech Racing Acura Spice SE92P. Further wins came in American Le Mans Series competition in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013 in the LMP2 category, with overall and LMP1 victories in both 2009 and 2013. The most recent win at the track was Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque in 2022 in the outgoing ARX-05. Taylor had also won here in 2020 with Helio Castroneves as co-driver. By any measure, Road America has been a productive venue for the brand, just not lately.

Acura has three podiums at Road America since the GTP class launched and zero wins. The window to change that is six hours wide and closing fast.
