Following up on the introduction of the 2025 Escalade and Escalade-V, Cadillac has unveiled the SOLLEI concept vehicle, their vision of an all-electric coach-built luxury convertible. This groundbreaking design pushes the boundaries of bespoke commissions, aiming directly at the unique passions and interests of its discerning clientele.

A Vision of Elegance and Innovation
The SOLLEI is an all-electric, 2+2 convertible that epitomizes Cadillac’s vision for the future. It features a signature 55-inch pillar-to-pillar screen, a breathtaking interior, and innovative lighting choreography that enhances the arrival and departure experience. The intuitive front and rear command consoles ensure a seamless and enjoyable driving experience.
Derived from the words sun (“SOL”) and leisure (“LEI”), SOLLEI embodies Cadillac’s optimistic outlook on an open-air, leisurely lifestyle.

“SOLLEI reimagines the discovery of travel, envisioning a personalized driving experience that connects one with the natural world around them,” said Erin Crossley, design director at Cadillac. “The concept celebrates Cadillac’s pedigree of elegant convertibles in a modern form by cultivating high luxury through design expressions and experiences.”
Pioneering Sustainable Luxury
The SOLLEI is Cadillac’s first concept vehicle to incorporate an innovative bio-based material developed in collaboration with MycoWorks. This material, Fine Mycelium™, is used in the charging mats and door map pockets, representing Cadillac’s commitment to pioneering renewable automotive resources.

Exterior Sophistication
The SOLLEI’s exterior design exudes emotion and captures Cadillac’s bold proportions. Its low, elongated body, wide stance, and long coupe doors ensure easy access to the spacious rear. The uninterrupted surfaces and stretched A-line emphasize the vehicle’s length, while the low tail design creates dynamic yet elegant proportions. Discrete buttons replace conventional door handles, maintaining a clean profile.
Finished in “Manila Cream,” a color originally used on Cadillacs in 1957 and 1958, the exterior showcases a meticulously curated and hand-painted finish by Cadillac craftsmen.

An Artistic and Expressive Interior
The SOLLEI’s interior channels Cadillac’s “art of travel” philosophy, offering a luxurious travel experience for both driver and passenger. Features include a fully integrated beverage chiller with a power glass door and crystal glasses, blending leisure with travel seamlessly.
Craftsmanship is evident in every detail. Illuminated décor and unique embellishments add to the brand’s unparalleled aesthetics. Unstained wood veneers honor natural color and grain variations, while open pore finishes provide a tactile experience. Each piece is hand-cut and hand-laid using marquetry techniques, creating a beautiful focal point from the front doors to the rear compartment. The windshield is framed in milled brushed aluminum, continuing Cadillac’s use of natural materials.

Personalized Lighting and Nature Connection
SOLLEI’s interior lighting offers true customization with multiple zones and 126 color options in each zone. This lighting can evoke specific moods and personalize the interior ambiance. For bird-watching enthusiasts, SOLLEI includes a custom brushed metal and leather-wrapped case housing 3D printed acrylic bird calls, a leather-bound journal with hand-painted bird illustrations, and a leather tool roll for pens and pencils, all designed to match the vehicle’s interior.

Celestial and Optimistic Design
SOLLEI celebrates the optimism of travel with rich sensory engagement and a sense of occasion. Sun-themed features include:
- Sunburst-themed lighting and graphic choreography
- Sunburst motif perforation, quilting, and embroidery on seat patterns
- Interior Fine Nappa leather with a pink iridescent pigment creating a subtle color-changing sunrise effect
- Charging mats and door map pockets made from MycoWorks’ Fine Mycelium™ material with an iridescent finish
- Pink iridescent hue on the beverage chiller door and glass tray in the rear compartment
- “Aurora” tint on primary metal finishes, reflecting the phenomenon of solar winds
- Convertible metallic roof fabric called “Daybreak,” allowing sunlight to pour into the interior
- Textured floormat material named “Bask,” adding texture and warmth, matching the roof material

Continuing the Tradition of Bespoke Expression
The SOLLEI convertible represents Cadillac’s vision to merge modern design with an open-air format inspired by iconic Cadillacs of the past. The concept was unveiled at Cadillac House at Vanderbilt, a state-of-the-art facility at GM’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, dedicated to providing bespoke design experiences for Cadillac CELESTIQ clients.
