Ford has opened online ordering for its 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning® electric pickups. The Lightning has faced a decline in sales recently due to a pushback in sales when it comes to electric vehicles (EVs); however, Ford has reduced the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), introduced a cheaper extended range model, and introduced some new tech updates hoping that sales will pick up for their electric pickup.
One of the standout features of the 2024 F-150 Lightning is its cutting-edge technology, designed to enhance performance, convenience, and safety. Ford has introduced a state-of-the-art Vapor Injection Heat Pump System, perfect for those chilly winter drives, ensuring optimal energy use in varying weather conditions. Additionally, the updated charging speed display on the instrument cluster gives drivers real-time insights into their charging status and speed, making it easier to plan their journeys effectively.
Ford is leveling up the F-150 Lightning’s capabilities by making key features from the Tow Technology Package standard on XLT and above trims. This includes handy tools like Smart Hitch and On-Board Scales, along with a suite of other towing aids like the 360 Degree Camera and Pro Trailer Backup Assist™. Plus, with the Pro Power Onboard feature, productivity knows no bounds, as users can tap into the truck’s power even when it’s switched off.
In a move sure to electrify the market, Ford has slashed the MSRP for the 2024 F-150 Lightning across various trims. Now, owning an electric pickup is more accessible than ever, with the Flash Extended Range trim starting at under $70,000. Whether you’re eyeing the XLT Standard Range or the Lariat Extended Range, you’ll find significant savings compared to previous models.
