Maserati revealed its latest offering earlier this week, the 2025 GranCabrio Folgore. It is yet another all-electric product for the growing Maserati portfolio. The all-electric four-seater GT car is a first for the segment and looks to reshape the luxury convertible market.
Powerful Performance –
Underneath its sleek exterior lies a formidable powertrain. The GranCabrio Folgore boasts a 92.5-kWh (83-kWh useable) T-shaped battery paired with a tri e-motor drivetrain, delivering exhilarating performance. While each motor churns out 402 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque, the combined output of 751 horsepower and 996 lb.-ft. of torque is unleashed in Corsa mode with launch control. This translates to a blistering 0-60 mph acceleration in just 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph, ensuring an electrifying driving experience.
Impressive Range and Charging –
Despite its thrilling performance, the GranCabrio Folgore doesn’t compromise on range. With a WLTP estimated range of up to 278 miles on a single charge (EPA-rated estimate of 250 miles), drivers can confidently embark on long journeys. Charging the battery is a breeze, thanks to the DC fast charger capable of replenishing from 20% to 80% in just 18 minutes, adding 62 miles in just five minutes. This ensures minimal downtime, allowing drivers to get back on the road swiftly.
Luxurious Design and Comfort –
Step inside the GranCabrio Folgore, and a harmonious blend of luxury and technology greets you. The interior features a quartet of digital displays, including a gauge cluster, infotainment system, HVAC controls, and a clock, providing essential information at a glance. The 18-way front seats, available in recycled Econyl or leather, offer unparalleled comfort, while the 16-speaker Sonus Faber® audio system envelops occupants in rich, immersive sound. Carbon fiber trim with copper filaments adds a touch of sophistication, elevating the cabin ambiance.
Practical Convertible Design –
The GranCabrio Folgore isn’t just about performance—it’s also designed for practicality. The convertible roof, available in five colors, folds in just 14 seconds, allowing for seamless open-air driving experiences. With the top-up, ample trunk space offers 6.1 cubic feet for luggage. Stow the top; still, 4.6 cubic feet are available for soft-sided bags. Additionally, standard neck warmers built into the seats ensure comfort during chilly drives, with an optional wind blocker further enhancing the driving experience.
Availability and Pricing –
Excitement is building as Maserati prepares to open order books for the GranCabrio Folgore in August. Production is slated to begin in Q4 of this year, with deliveries expected shortly after that. While pricing details haven’t been released, enthusiasts can expect the GranCabrio Folgore to be priced around $225,000, reflecting its luxurious features and cutting-edge technology.
