Kia today set prices for the 2027 K4 sedan and K4 Hatchback, keeping the lineup’s entry point at $22,390 before destination while adding 18-inch black alloy wheels to the GT-Line Premium Package and opening a red interior option for GT-Line Turbo buyers who want Steel Gray on the outside. Neither the powertrain nor the broader equipment structure changes for 2027; this is a pricing confirmation with a trim detail on top.
The sedan runs five trims. The LX opens at $22,390, the LXS at $23,590, the EX at $24,590, and the GT-Line at $25,590. The GT-Line Turbo 1.6L, the one buyers who actually want to drive the K4 will want, starts at $28,490. All prices exclude the $1,245 destination charge.
The hatchback body style, which took Best Value honors at the 2026 NWAPA Drive Revolution, runs three trims: EX at $25,090, GT-Line at $26,090, and GT-Line Turbo 1.6L at $28,990. The hatchback GT-Line Turbo costs $500 more than its sedan equivalent, which is a modest premium for a body style that’s been well-received by press who’ve driven it.
The K4 replaced the Forte for the 2026 model year, and the nameplate transition hasn’t slowed sales. The Forte and K4 combined for 139,778 units in 2024; the K4 alone cleared 140,514 units in 2025, a count that puts it squarely in the conversation with the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda3 for compact-segment volume. The GT-Line Turbo’s 190 hp from the 1.6-liter turbocharged four gives the K4 a credible answer to the Civic Si crowd, even if it isn’t quite in the same athletic tier.
For 2027, the GT-Line Premium Package on both body styles now includes 18-inch black alloy wheels. Sedan GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo buyers gain a red interior paired with Steel Gray exterior, a combination Kia hasn’t previously offered on the K4. These are the only changes from the 2026 lineup. Kia has not announced fuel economy figures for 2027 alongside today’s pricing.
The K4 sits a step below the 2027 K5, which starts at $27,690, in Kia’s sedan hierarchy. Together they form a two-car compact-and-midsize pairing that gives Kia coverage from the high teens to the low thirties. The K4’s $22,390 floor keeps it competitive with the Corolla and positions it well below the Civic’s entry point in most configurations.
