The 2027 Dodge Durango R/T 392 starts at $50,995 with 475 hp and a 4.4-second 0-60 time, anchoring a three-variant HEMI V-8 lineup that runs from $43,675 for the GT HEMI to $80,495 for the supercharged SRT Hellcat. Dodge positions the R/T 392 as the most horsepower per dollar for a gas SUV, a claim that underscores the automaker’s bet that naturally aspirated displacement still matters to three-row buyers.
The R/T 392’s 6.4-liter V-8 makes 475 hp and 470 lb-ft, paired with standard all-wheel drive, adaptive damping suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a high-performance exhaust. Brembo brakes with 15-inch front rotors and six-piston calipers are standard, as is best-in-class 8,700-pound towing capacity. The R/T 392 runs a 12.9-second NHRA-certified quarter mile. Compared to the previous Durango R/T, the R/T 392 delivers 32 percent more horsepower, 21 percent more torque, and improves 0-60 from 6.2 to 4.4 seconds.
The GT HEMI, at $43,675, is the entry point. Dodge calls it the most affordable AWD V-8 in the industry. Its 5.7-liter V-8 makes 360 hp and 390 lb-ft, with a 6.2-second 0-60 time and 7,200 pounds of standard towing capacity. That’s 22 percent more horsepower and 50 percent more torque than the previous GT, which improves 0-60 by more than a second from 7.4 seconds. The GT HEMI rides on 20-by-8-inch Satin Carbon wheels, offers seven-passenger seating, and includes a nine-speaker Alpine audio system. A Tow ‘n Go package pushes towing to 8,700 pounds, adds 15-inch front Brembos, adaptive damping, and raises top speed from 118 to 145 mph.

The SRT Hellcat, at $80,495, is the 710-hp supercharged flagship. Its 6.2-liter V-8 makes 645 lb-ft, runs 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, and clocks an 11.5-second quarter mile. Dodge positions it as the most powerful gas SUV ever. The Hellcat’s brake package uses 15.7-inch two-piece vented and slotted front rotors with six-piston calipers. Bilstein adaptive damping suspension, Launch Control, and a Track drive mode are standard. The interior is Nappa leather and Alcantara with a flat-bottom steering wheel and paddle shifters. Standard configuration is five passengers.
For 2027, Dodge expands customization across the lineup. The R/T 392 adds a new Plus trim with Nappa leather bucket seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a power sunroof, and black roof rails. The R/T 392 Premium, above that, adds a suede headliner, forged carbon-fiber interior accents, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with an 825-watt amp, and two-piece front rotors. Yellow Brembo brake calipers are a Premium-only option. A new Blacktop Redline package offers optional Redline dual racing stripes, Crypto Sweep interior accents, 20-by-10-inch forged Y-Spoke wheels, Nappa and suede performance seats with six-passenger seating, and a performance lower splitter on Plus and Premium trims. Additional R/T 392 options include red seat belts and 20-by-10-inch Forged Brass Monkey wheels.

The GT HEMI gains a Brass Monkey package with black 345 fender badges with brass tracers and 20-by-8-inch Brass Monkey wheels, or 20-by-10-inch Forged Brass Monkey wheels when equipped with Tow ‘n Go. A GT HEMI Plus package adds Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, memory functions, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, power fold-away mirrors, a power sunroof, and black roof rails. The GT HEMI Premium package includes a premium leather-wrapped instrument panel, suede headliner, forged carbon-fiber interior accents, the 19-speaker Harman Kardon system, Advanced Brake Assist, and Lane Departure Warning Plus.
The SRT Hellcat Jailbreak package, at $995, unlocks more than 14 million customization combinations with seven wheel options, seven exterior colors, six badging finishes, five seating color choices, four seat belt and brake caliper color options, and three seating configurations. New for 2027 is a six-passenger black Nappa and suede seating option and two new forged wheel designs: Forged Y-Spoke Machine Face and Forged Y-Spoke Foreshadow. All Jailbreak models carry carbon-fiber interior accents and a Jailbreak instrument panel badge.

Among three-row rivals, the Durango stands alone with V-8 power. The Ford Explorer, Toyota Grand Highlander, and Jeep Grand Cherokee L are direct competitors, none of which offer a V8 engine. That makes the R/T 392’s $50,995 starting price a single-option proposition for buyers who want naturally aspirated V-8 torque in a three-row package.
The 2027 Durango is open for orders now. Vehicles arrive in dealerships this fall.
