The redesigned 2027 Dodge Charger sits in aggressive stance with its bold red finish and modern styling, offering buyers extensive factory customization options ahead of Q3 deliveries.

Dodge opened orders today for the 2027 Charger lineup, which arrives in dealerships third quarter with more than 25 new factory customization options and unchanged powertrain specifications. The refresh layers interior color packages, stripe graphics, and paint options onto the gas-and-electric muscle car range that launched for 2026.

Pricing starts at $49,995 for the two-door Charger R/T and $51,995 for the four-door. The SIXPACK-powered R/T produces 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque from a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, which Dodge describes as the most standard horsepower of any muscle car. The Scat Pack, powered by the high-output SIXPACK at 550 horsepower and 531 pound-feet, starts at $54,995 for the two-door and $56,995 for the four-door. The all-electric Daytona Scat Pack, rated at 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet, starts at $72,495.

The customization expansion is the news this time. New interior options include Petrol Blue performance leather seats with Digital Slash perforation and red stitching for Scat Pack models, joining existing Demonic Red, black leather, and suede choices. Demonic Red seat belts are now available across the lineup. A Satin Black painted hood option arrives for SIXPACK-powered R/T and Scat Pack models, distinct from the existing Satin Black hood patch. Orange and black brake calipers with Brembo packages are listed as late availability.

Factory Mopar graphics have been expanded to include bodyside Charger blade stripes and strobe stripes in Gloss Red, Satin White, and Satin Black, plus dual stripes in the same colors. A Mopar accessory glass roof sunshade joins the already-available all-weather interior package. The customization push is factory-backed, meaning buyers configure these options at order rather than adding them at the dealership or aftermarket.

The powertrain lineup carries over from 2026. The R/T’s 420-horsepower SIXPACK delivers 50 more horsepower and 73 more pound-feet than the previous 5.7-liter HEMI R/T. Zero to 60 mph arrives in 4.6 seconds, the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. The twin-turbo six generates 22 psi of peak boost and delivers full torque by 2,500 rpm. Standard all-wheel drive pairs with an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode that sends 100 percent of torque to the rear wheels at the push of a button.

The Scat Pack’s high-output SIXPACK produces 65 more horsepower and 56 more pound-feet than the prior 6.4-liter HEMI Scat Pack. Twin 54-millimeter Garrett GT2054 turbos spin to 185,000 rpm with up to 30 psi of boost. Zero to 60 mph takes 3.9 seconds, the quarter-mile 12.2 seconds. Over 90 percent of torque is sustained from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm. Standard equipment includes Line Lock, Launch Control, a dual-mode active exhaust, and performance suspension with 15-inch vented rotors and Brembo six-piston fixed front calipers.

New factory Mopar graphic options for the entire 2027 Dodge Charger lineup include “Charger” text and strobe stripes in Gloss Red and Satin Black, as well as dual stripes in Gloss Black, Gloss Red, Matte Black and Matte White.

The Daytona Scat Pack is the quickest Charger at 3.3 seconds to 60 mph and 11.5 seconds through the quarter-mile. Range is rated at up to 267 miles. For 2027, the Daytona gains a native NACS charging port, making it the first Stellantis model to launch with direct access to the Tesla Supercharger network without an adapter. The port provides access to 29,000-plus additional chargers. PowerShot mode delivers an extra 40 horsepower for 10 seconds on demand. The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, Dodge’s answer to synthesized performance sound in an electric vehicle, is standard.

The competitive context remains what it was at launch. The Ford Mustang Dark Horse, powered by a 5.0-liter V8 producing 500 horsepower, is the Charger’s primary gasoline rival in the muscle car segment. Dodge’s positioning is that the Charger is the only four-door muscle car, which is true if you accept Dodge’s definition of the segment. The hidden hatch design provides 37.4 cubic feet of cargo space, 38 percent more rear cargo capacity than the previous generation and 127 percent more with the rear seats folded.

Two-door 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack

All models feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The R/T and Scat Pack offer selectable rear-wheel-drive mode. The R/T Plus, starting at $54,990 for the two-door and $56,990 for the four-door, adds ventilated eight-way power seats, memory settings, 64-color Attitude Adjustment lighting, a 16-inch cluster, head-up display, and navigation. The Scat Pack Plus, starting at $59,990 for the two-door and $61,990 for the four-door, includes similar upgrades. The Daytona Scat Pack Plus starts at $77,490.

Optional packages include the Carbon & Suede Package with performance seats, carbon-fiber interior accents, and carbon-fiber mirror caps, the Blacktop Package with dark wheels and badges, a panoramic glass roof, and an 18-speaker Alpine Pro audio system with 914 watts. The R/T offers an available Performance Handling Group adding Line Lock, Launch Control, and a Custom drive mode.

The eighth-generation Charger earned 2026 North American Car of the Year from NACTOY, plus awards from the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, TopGear.com, MotorWeek, and the Texas Auto Writers Association.
