Jeep is pushing the 2027 Grand Cherokee’s Canadian lineup wider, adding three trims and a handful of equipment upgrades aimed at defending a nameplate that has seen Canadian sales slip from 14,753 units in 2023 to 9,094 in 2025. The additions: a new Trailhawk, a new Overland, and a new Upland that brings off-road aesthetics at a lower entry point than the Trailhawk proper.
The Upland is the most interesting addition for buyers who want off-road credibility without the full Trailhawk premium. It rides on 18-inch Trailhawk-inspired wheels wrapped in 265/60R18 all-terrain tires, wears a Trailhawk-inspired front fascia with Vapor Gray tow hooks, and adds dark neutral gray exterior accents and a body-colour painted roof. Inside, Capri leatherette and suede seats finished in Global Black keep the rugged theme going. It starts at $71,890 in Canada, including the $2,295 destination charge.
The Trailhawk arrives with late availability and prices from $78,890. The Overland, also with late availability, tops both at $81,890. Entry-level Grand Cherokee Laredo trims start at $62,890.
Powertrain assignments remain straightforward. The 3.6-litre V6 handles duty on Laredo and Laredo X trims. The Hurricane turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder becomes standard from the Laredo Altitude upward. Jeep claims best-in-class ground clearance of 28.9 centimetres (11.4 inches), a best-in-class approach angle of 36 degrees, breakover angle of 24.4 degrees, and departure angle of 30.3 degrees. Maximum towing, when properly equipped, is rated at 2,812 kilograms (6,200 pounds), also a best-in-class claim.
Beyond the new trims, Jeep has pushed equipment upgrades through the existing lineup. The Laredo and Laredo X now get a 10.1-inch infotainment screen as standard, replacing the previous 8.4-inch unit, along with a new 18-inch wheel design. Limited-trim buyers gain a wireless charging pad, rain-sensing wipers, and auto power-folding mirrors. The Limited Reserve adds High Gloss Black to its available colour palette.
Eight new exterior colours join the order sheet across the lineup: High Gloss Black, Sting Gray, Ghost, Red Hot, Olive Green, Midnight Sky, Ember, and Red Rock, though several carry late-availability designations. Wicker Beige debuts as a new interior colour option on Laredo trims. The full lineup runs ten trims: Laredo, Laredo X, Laredo Altitude, Laredo Upland, Limited, Limited Altitude, Limited Reserve, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit.
Grand Cherokees are built at Stellantis’s Detroit Assembly Complex, split across the Mack and Jefferson facilities. Canadian deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026, with orders open now.
Three years of declining Canadian volume and three new trims to reverse the trend. Jeep is betting the Upland’s value pitch and the Trailhawk’s capability credentials are what the lineup was missing.
