Dodge is moving fast off the concept floor. Smokescreen, the cool light-grey paint that debuted on the Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen Concept at August’s Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event, is now open for order across the full 2027 Durango lineup in Canada at CAD $645. Petrol Blue Laguna leather performance seats follow it into production, available exclusively on the Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak at CAD $1,995.
Smokescreen is the third new exterior colour Dodge has added to the Durango in the past three months, bringing the total palette to 10 options. It joins After Dark, Redeye, B5 Blue, Destroyer Grey, Green Machine, Night Moves, Pitch Black, Red Oxide, and White Knuckle. The new shade is positioned as a lighter-toned alternative to the existing Destroyer Grey, with Dodge describing the cool base as a backdrop that plays up the Durango’s proportions rather than obscuring them. Whether it earns the same enthusiast pull as some of the more aggressive names on that list is a matter of taste, but the palette is notably wide for a three-row SUV.
The colour is available across every 2027 Durango trim: the 295 hp SXT and GT, the 360 hp GT HEMI AWD, the 475 hp R/T 392, and the 710 hp SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak. That last trim carries Dodge’s claim of being the most powerful gas SUV ever built, which stands unchallenged at that output figure.

Inside the Jailbreak, Petrol Blue Laguna leather performance seats bring dual silver stitching and embossed SRT Hellcat logos. They’re offered in a six-passenger configuration with second-row captain’s chairs and a full second-row centre console, which is standard for the SRT Hellcat. Dodge says the Petrol Blue addition pushes Jailbreak customization combinations past 20 million, counting the full menu of colours, stripes, wheels, brake calipers, badging, and interior appointments available through that package.
Dodge CEO Matt McAlear credited direct feedback from Roadkill Nights attendees with accelerating the production timeline. The concept appeared in August; orders opened in Canada today, roughly seven weeks later. That’s a short runway from concept reaction to order bank, and it suggests Dodge is treating the Roadkill Nights event less as a traditional auto show appearance and more as live market research.

Dodge has not announced US pricing or availability for either Smokescreen or the Petrol Blue seats, making this a Canada-only announcement for now.
Smokescreen is the kind of option that adds personality without changing what the Durango fundamentally is, which is exactly what a 710 hp SUV probably doesn’t need changed. The Jailbreak already has the performance argument settled. This is about how it looks doing it.
